Join the Friends of the Institute, an organization of members dedicated to supporting our neighbor, the Minneapolis Institute of Art, for a centennial anniversary reception at the Hennepin History Museum, home of The Friends’ first president, Carolyn McKnight Christian. Featuring wine and appetizers, live music from the Great American Songbook, and remarks from current Friends’ president Julie Holland and John Crippen, executive director of Hennepin History Museum. Guests will also have a chance to view historical items owned by the Christian family. Friends Supporter tickets are $50 and Centennial Supporters are $100: Centennial supporters will receive a special ‘thank-you’ gift bag.
