Hennepin History Museum and the Major Taylor Bicycling Club of Minnesota are hosting a commemorative bike ride to honor the legacy of the club’s late member, Bill Dooley. As part of the Museum’s efforts to explore the stories of people and events that have shaped the community we share, the event will celebrate the memory of Bill and help riders appreciate his contributions. Bill was a passionate biking advocate and over many years was instrumental in changing the landscape of biking infrastructure in the Twin Cities.
The ride will start at Hennepin History Museum and visit some of the community projects Bill worked on. The tour will last approximately 2 hours, ending back at the Museum with light refreshments. Riders provide their own equipment. All skill levels are welcome. Please join us in celebrating a champion of Minnesota cycling.
