A Bridge of Memories is a participatory workshop exploring memory-keeping through theatre. Over the course of one hour, teaching artist Mohammed Yabdri will lead participants in exploring acting skills, using memories as materials to bring new scenes to life. Each participant is asked to bring a picture that represents a memory they’d like to explore. The workshop is open to up to 15 participants of all ages and backgrounds. Participants interested in exploring memory-keeping in the aftermath of war or displacement are especially welcome to take part. This bilingual workshop will be accessible in both Arabic and English. Pre-registration is required.

BIO:

Mohammed Yabdri is an award-winning Algerian actor and director. He has participated in over 50 theatre shows locally and internationally, and has appeared in over 200 television episodes. As a teaching artist, Mohammed specializes in acting, clowning, and physical theatre. His international career has included audiences in France, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Turkey, Cameroon, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Bahrain. Locally, Mohammed has worked with Stages Theatre Company, Mixed Blood Theatre, and Frank Theatre.
