Hennepin History Museum (HHM) is partnering with the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota to serve as a host for their 2023 Twin Cities Tweed Ride and Lawn Party on Saturday, October 7, from 10 am to 5 pm. This leisurely paced 23-mile bike journey will depart from the historic James J. Hill House at 10 am (the grounds will open at 9 am for coffee and light refreshments). The tour travels to the Mill City Museum in downtown Minneapolis for a break; then arrives at Hennepin History Museum at 1 pm for light snacks and free visit to HHM before returning to the Hill House for a post-ride Lawn Party at 3 pm on the front lawn of the mansion.
- The ride is free to all, but registration is required.
- Riders provide their own equipment.
- Vintage 1880s-1930s fashions are encouraged but not required.
- Participants can join the ride from any point on this journey to some of the most scenic and historic areas of Saint Paul and Minneapolis.
