This virtual program will invite participants to develop a creative response to a presentation on the history of 35W in South Minneapolis. No prior artistic experience is required and all skill levels are welcome. This artistic response is simply meant to be fun and encourage a creative way of looking at the freeway and its history.
A piece of paper and a writing utensil are suggested for this event. Markers, crayons, and your other favorite art tools are also beneficial. All are welcome at this workshop and students (middle-school or older) are encouraged to participate! This event is part of an ongoing partnership with Hennepin History Museum, the Heritage Studies and Public History Program at the University of Minnesota, and Minnesota Department of Transportation.
